Kaili Story earned a Master of Fine Arts from Northwestern University in Stage Design and a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Production and Management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Kaili has designed internationally in Australia, Korea, and the Turks and Caicos Islands. Selected design credits include: Insurrection: Holding History (Stage Left Theatre), Second Skin (WildClaw Theatre), Brave Like Them (About Face Youth Theatre), 33 Variations (Wheaton College Arena Theater), The Tempest (NU, Barber Theater), Pygmalion (Oak Park Festival Theater), The Taming of the Shrew (OPFT), In the Next Room: The Vibrator Play (NU, Louis Theater), and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (Onyx Theare, Las Vegas). Other credits include assistant and associate design work at: Steppenwolf Theatre, Lyric Opera, Drury Lane, Lookingglass Theatre, The House Theatre, and the Cambrians Dance Company. Kaili is an adjunct lecturer at Northwestern University teaching Lighting Design to undergraduate students. Kaili began working with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago as the Lighting Supervisor in Fall of 2017 and tours internationally with the company.
